Richard Chu called to inform the Schenectady Chess Club members that tonight's meeting is cancelled. It seems the power is out at the Community Center. No heat, no chess. Games scheduled for tonight are to be played next week.
I am in the process of moving back to my home after six months of "camping out" in an apartment. Last July we had a fire caused by a lighting strike. The refurbishment is just about complete and tomorrow is moving day. The rush to get things packed and ready to go has cut into the time available for things to do with chess. My intention is to have a post ready for publishing Tuesday night. That is when my Internet service is scheduled to be up.
